White LabellingA White Label partnership gives introducing brokers the opportunity to brand IG Markets' online trading system and offer it to their clients. The standard model provides the broker with a version of our trading environment, branded in colours specified by the broker. A suitable trading name of IG Markets is then set up to offer the service; for example, a broker called Salmon might prompt us to set up 'Salmon CFDs' as a trading name of IG Markets. In addition to the branded trading environment, an account-opening area with downloadable application forms is created in the partner's colours. Telephone numbers and email addresses are set up so that customer queries can be directed back to the broker. We also display contract details for IG Markets' extensive range of products with the correct branding, and clients can download branded statements via our online interface. The available products can be tailored to the needs of the client base: for example, the broker may wish to offer only commission-free products or perhaps a range of international stocks. The basic form of the software, however, is almost identical to our online trading software and cannot be altered easily. Level of commitmentA White Label partnership requires both parties to dedicate a considerable amount of time and technical effort and is therefore unsuitable for many potential partners. As an introducer, you will need significant investment in your own customer-facing and back-office capabilities in order to provide the full range of services that the client base of a separately branded website will require. Clients will expect to consult you, not us, on a variety of matters ranging from queries about trading levels to the rules of CFD trading. As a result, you should only consider this kind of partnership if you are effectively committing the venture to achieve a high level of revenue for both parties.
